SleepShift

About SleepShift

We built the program
that should have existed.

CBT-I has a 70–80% clinical success rate. Most people who need it can't get it. We're changing that.

The gap

CBT-I is the best insomnia treatment that exists. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine recommends it as first-line treatment over sleeping pills. The NIH backs it. The peer-reviewed evidence is unambiguous: 70–80% clinical success rate, lasting results, no side effects or dependency.

Most people who need it can't access it. The waitlist for a CBT-I therapist is 4 months. A full course costs $2,000 or more. The only FDA-cleared digital version — Somryst — is no longer sold direct to consumers (acquired by Nox Health in 2023 and distributed only through employer health plans). Insurance rarely covers any of it.

The treatment exists. The access doesn't. That's a structural problem with a structural solution: build the program, make it affordable, and remove the gatekeeping.

What we built

A structured, full CBT-I program at a price anyone can reach. Built on the same five-component protocol used in peer-reviewed clinical trials. Reviewed by a licensed CBT-I specialist. Designed to require under 15 minutes per day — 2-minute diary each morning, one 10-minute cognitive session per week.

Not a meditation app. Not sleep hygiene tips. Not a wearable dashboard. The actual protocol — sleep restriction, stimulus control, efficiency tracking, cognitive restructuring, sleep education — delivered in the right sequence, at the right pace, for under a dollar a day.
